The cities in the local salary database are a part of Ohio’s most populous metropolitan areas as determined by the United States Census taken every 10 years. In 2020, the most populous cities in Ohio’s eight most populous metropolitan areas were—Akron, Canton, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton, Toledo, and Youngstown.
All data in this database comes from the local government entities. Any errors, omissions, inaccuracies, or misspelled names were in the original data provided by the local government. Youngstown did not provide job descriptions for 2021. Canton did not provide employee department information for 2019-2022; some last names were missing from 2022’s data set.
